Data Deletion
You can delete your Tector account from inside the app, or in writing without installing anything. Either way, this page is what is deleted and what is kept.
§5.1 Two ways to request deletion
In the app. Once signed in, open your account settings and choose to delete your account. This deletes immediately, per §5.2 below.
In writing, from the web. Contact us using the address in the Privacy Notice's §2.11 Contact, from the email or account details associated with your account. Use this route if you do not have the app installed, or to request deletion or access to data on behalf of someone else's account where you are legally entitled to.
§5.2 What is deleted immediately
Deleting your account permanently deletes: billing profiles, payment method links, service preferences, display name history, support tickets, ratings you authored, and device identifiers. Your display name and account number are removed from active use; you may not sign back in as that account.
This mirrors the Privacy Notice exactly — see §2.6 for the underlying policy this page implements.
§5.3 What is retained after deletion, and why
(a) Financial records of completed bookings are retained for the period required by tax and accounting law.
(b) Incident reports. Where an incident report has been filed naming you, that report — your pseudonym and account number as they stood at the time, and the account of what occurred — is retained in a separate, encrypted, immutable record for two years from creation, or until any legal hold on it is lifted. Deleting your account does not delete this record.
Incident reports exist to protect both Clients and Operators. A record either side could erase on request would protect neither.
§5.4 Response time and verification
Write from the email address associated with your account, so the request can be verified against it. We reply within one business day.
