FAQ
Booking and privacy
What information does Tector collect, and why?
You register under a pseudonym. Your legal name is not required. We keep what a booking needs: your service requirements, itinerary and locations, and contact details for the booking. Card details go to Stripe and are never received or stored by Tector. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy, sections 2.2 to 2.5.
What does the operator see?
Your pseudonym, service requirements, itinerary, description, and pickup and destination. Not your billing profile, company details, payment information or legal name.
Where is my booking?
Bookings and requests live in the Tector app. Sign in with the email the message was sent to.
How do I delete my data?
Use deletion in the app or write to the privacy address on the Support page. Some records survive deletion where the law requires it; see Privacy section 2.6.
Firms
Why is quoting blocked?
A licence or insurance certificate is lapsed, too low or unverified. Fix it under Compliance, then quoting reopens.
What is an offer to staff?
An offer is not an assignment. Tector rechecks eligibility, credentials, availability and your protocol when staff respond. Declined or expired offers can be re-issued.
How are documents and credentials handled?
Uploads are held until they pass a security scan. Staff names and credential numbers are encrypted before storage. Licence numbers are not displayed, and any lookup by Tector support is logged.
How do payouts work?
Connect a Stripe account under Payouts. Tector never stores your Stripe identity details. Payouts are held while an amount owed to Tector is open. Remittances show your payout only, never Tector's fees.
How are rates and hourly pay recorded?
Rate card prices are yours; Tector never sets or caps them, and quotes are pre-filled from them for you to review. Hourly staff terms are dated and never rewritten: to correct one, add a new record. Recording a term does not run payroll, calculate overtime, withhold tax or pay out.
How does the Operator Agreement signature work?
Typing your name and submitting is the firm's electronic signature of that version, timestamped by Tector. Only a firm admin or dispatcher can sign.
Partners
What does a partner earn?
Up to 30% of Tector's collected facilitation fee, once funds are available. It is never a share of the firm's work and never tax. A booking promotion can lower the rate; each row shows the rate applied.
What can each team role do?
Owners hold account, payout and team authority and see all settlement. Admins create referral links, assign workers, oversee cases and see organization settlement. Workers see only their assigned cases, with no client information, payment controls or payout data.
How are applicant details protected?
Identity and documents stay protected until Tector approves a case and opens a limited window. Every opening is logged and needs a stated purpose. Your recommendation goes to Tector for final review and does not replace its decision.
How does outreach work?
Invite only people you may lawfully contact: a published business contact for their role, an existing business relationship (lapses two years after last activity), or a single message on a personal referral. Each address can be invited once every 30 days. Archived prospects are erased 180 days after archiving. Imports take up to 500 rows.
Why set up two-step verification?
Partner accounts handle contact details and payouts, so a stolen sign-in link should not be enough. It is required for exports.
Creators
How is commission calculated?
From eligible collected Tector fees, not the full booking price. Cancellations and refunds can reduce commission. Amounts stay in their original currency, and the statement shows the latest 100 records.
How do creator payouts work?
Payout onboarding currently supports US accounts. Stripe collects your identity and bank details securely. A transfer to your payout account is not confirmation of a bank deposit.
